Novel Signer is provided by CoderMana Technologies Private Limited ("CoderMana," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit this website, contact us, download the Novel Signer desktop application, or use related support services.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Contact details you provide, such as your name, email address, company name, and the contents of your inquiry.
• Website usage information, such as pages visited, browser type, device information, approximate location derived from IP address, and referral information, plus anonymous website error reports (the error message and the script location where it occurred, with no account data or form contents).
• Support and product feedback you send to us, including attachments, logs, screenshots, or descriptions of issues if you choose to provide them.
• Transactional or business information necessary to evaluate licensing, enterprise discussions, or customer support requests.
• Optional diagnostic data from the desktop or mobile apps when you explicitly opt in, limited to allowlisted performance traces, app version, HTTP status information, and scrubbed crash reports.

3. How we use information

We use information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the website and Novel Signer-related services.
• Respond to questions, support requests, demos, onboarding requests, and enterprise discussions.
• Investigate bugs, security incidents, abuse, fraud, or misuse.

4. Desktop files and signed content

Novel Signer is designed primarily as a desktop application. Documents, images, certificates, cryptographic credentials, and signatures you process in the app are intended to remain under your control on your systems unless you explicitly choose to share information with us for support. We do not claim ownership of your files, signed output, or signing credentials.

If you send files, logs, or screenshots to us for troubleshooting, we will use them only for support, diagnostic, security, and service improvement purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.

5. Legal bases

Where applicable, we process personal information based on legitimate interests, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where consent is required.

5A. Optional application diagnostics

Novel Signer desktop and mobile apps ask on first start whether to share diagnostics. The prompt is checked by default, and you can opt out before continuing. If diagnostics remain enabled, the app may send anonymous performance traces and scrubbed crash reports to CoderMana-operated, self-hosted systems. Documents, document names and paths, document contents, signer identities, account details, email addresses, cryptographic credentials, and authentication tokens are excluded.

You can withdraw consent at any time in the app. Disabling diagnostics stops future collection and resets the random diagnostic installation identifier. Diagnostic traces and crash reports are retained for up to seven days unless a shorter period is required.

6. Sharing of information

We may share information:

• With service providers who help us operate the website, communications, analytics, hosting, and support processes.
• With professional advisors, auditors, insurers, or legal authorities when reasonably necessary.
• In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of business assets.
• When required to comply with law, enforce our rights, or protect users, customers, or the public.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including support continuity, legal compliance, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and enforcement of agreements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
